Vegan Lavender Ice Cream
Enjoy the soft floral notes of lavender in this smooth vegan ice cream. This is a delicious treat for any occasion. It's made with coconut milk and maple syrup to make it sweet.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans full-fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon culinary lavender buds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Put coconut milk, maple syrup, and culinary lavender buds in a saucepan and mix them together
Put the mixture on medium-low heat and stir it around until it just starts to simmer
Then take it off the heat
Let the lavender flavor soak into the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes
Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the mixture into a bowl
Press down on the lavender buds to get all the flavor out of them
Add salt and vanilla extract and mix well
Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machine's instructions until it's the consistency of soft serve
Move the ice cream that has been churned to a container that can go in the freezer
Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm
